Before Cars

The picture below was taken in Poland. Yes amazing, gambling is getting more popular in Poland. We told them that this is the easiest way too loose money, but they told us that one guy won money and they want too.

The main entrance.
Before we started sightseeing, we ate.

We weren't alone. A lot of people were having picnic time we us. Or..? maybe we were having the picking with them?

48-72

Last part of the trip.
After Cebit we decided to go to Amsterdam. We reached the city before 1 am. We stopped at a parking in Heineken brewery. Fast tour it is our standard procedure. We visited very famous "Red lights district". There was one problem with our car. The parking is open only till 2 am. If we didn't make it before 2 am the car stays till Monday morning. And yes we made it, we were back 5 minutes before, running and asking how to get to the Heineken brewery. We didn't know that we are able to run so fast after two days almost without sleeping and it was raining.
We got some adrenaline, so we weren't ready to sleep. We stopped to take a nap couple of miles after we left Holland. In the morning we ate breakfast and went back home.

Pictures and details soon...
THE BEST PART :)

24-48

Motor show was over and we didn't have much time so we went back to the car and started driving to Hanover. Cebit was waiting for us. We left Geneva behind, 100 miles before Frankfurt we finally stopped to sleep. Mr. B. has very comfortable car :). After a few hours of sleeping we were ready to drive again. Fast breakfast, few hours of traveling and we were in Hanover.

Sleeping beauties

To keep alive our tradition we post our picture, pictures of us sleeping.

Mr. B. was driving and recording this movie. And we assured our moms that that was a very safe trip.

1-24

First 24h was in a hurry. As we mentioned earlier we were late. We were supposed to leave
at 6 pm but we left 4h later.
Our first goal was Motor Show in Geneva.
It took as a while to get there. I just realized that we didn't sleep. So we went straight to Geneva so we left house 10 pm Thursday then 11 am Friday we were at the car show. No sleep, no stop. Oh yes, one stop at the border. Switzerland is not a member of European Union, so there is a regular border gate. Mr. B. was asked if he is going to work? Then they examined our car and us. Body search. They looked in every single hole in the car, like we had time to look at them going through our underpants and toothbrushes?

Bamboo baby

We got a bamboo today, it is easy to take care of.
All we have to to is change a water sometimes. We already killed some flowers but maybe this time we succeed.
We hope to post a picture of the bamboo every week.

Chevrolet Corsica Facts:

1. ex - military - Mr. B. paid $117 for the car. It was bought at US military base in Germany

2. service engine soon - during the trip the information was blinking

3. LPG - we were using LPG to run the car more information here
4. tires were never changed
5. right front light is working only after you hit it

Preparations

Having experience from our past trip, it took us couple of hours to be ready to go.

We took some food and tools.

And the car. Hmm.... last time Toyota field so we decided to use something cheap, durable and bad looking. Mr. B's car. No car was for few months.

Chevrolet Corsica :
Engine: 2.2 l = 134 cubic inches
Automatic transmission

MAP

Plans were nice and ambitious. We did something totally different.

Picture is huge so it will take a while to download.
Click here to see smaller version.

What was it about?

Our goal was:
visit car show in Geneva
visit CEBIT - trade show for information and telecommunications technology
take a look around in Amsterdam

We did almost 4000 km and it is about 2400 miles.
It took us exactly 72h, including sleeping driving and sightseeing.
We wanted to see more but we run out of money.
